Kicked a lot of dead journals, but also some active ones. Just remember it's nothing personal, I just noticed that I am skipping your entries and that's not how this works for me.

Objections?
If you want to stay because you like my journal, please just say so and I'll add you again, so that you can read my incredible entries ;)

Fandom: Star Trek Reboot
Title: Breaking Points
Author: Ragdoll / Keshka
Genre: ?
Pairing: Kirk/Spock
Rating: PG-13
Spoilers: For the movie, obviously and the author said that she made some references to TOS but in a way that 'for people who have seen TOS, the context will be enjoyable, but for those that haven't, it shouldn't detract any understanding from the story.' And I think that's true so far :)
Status: WIP (5 chapters so far)
Summary: When the Enterprise is asked to transport Vulcan colonists to their new home, Spock Prime comes with them. His presence changes everything – even the things Jim isn’t sure he wants to change.

I loved this and I can't wait for more (which is to come soon). I liked the style and loved the characterisations. Spot on and in character. And there's also a lot of humour to boot. The story is mostly told from Kirk's point of view (although it's not a first-person narrator) and it's really gorgeous. I also like the author's style and her choice of words very much. This made me really giddy while reading it. I was dying because of the thrill and because I just couldn't get enough.

Title: a love so much refined
Author: [info]tasheila
Genre: -
Pairing: Kirk/Spock, Sarek/Amanda
Rating: PG
Spoilers: For the movie I'd say.
Status: Oneshot
Summary: a promt from [info]st_xi_kink round two:
Spock/Kirk, Sarek + outsider pov: Sarek watches his son and Kirk together and is reminded of his relationship with his wife - and how deep humans can love - and how humbling it is to be the recipient of such emotions.

Beautifully done! I can't say much or I'd give the best parts away. Believe me when I say that this is one of the most beautiful and melancholy fics I've read so far for the STR fandom.

Fandom: Prince of Tennis
Title: Invincible
Author: Yuki Scorpio
Genre: General
Pairing: Tezufuji
Rating: K
Spoilers: The author doesn't warn, so I think there's no need for a spoiler warning
Summary:
At seventeen, Tezuka understood many things. He knew what his feelings for Fuji were and what they meant. And he knew unspoken, unrequitted feelings were supposed to hurt, but it didn't work for him that way.

Since it's a really short story any other excerpt would give too much away and that would spoil the fun.
What immediately springs to my mind when I think about this story is the intimacy and the sensibility that comes across. This story has everything I love about Fuji and Tezuka. It perfectly describes that the way they complement like no one else can.

"Was willst du mir eigentlich erzählen?

...REC IN THE EVENING.

O just have to, this thing is brilliant, really interesting and it touches me because Edward Elric is one of the few fictional characters I kinda look up to. (The only other that springs to my mind at this moment would be Watanuki.)

Fandom: Fullmetal Alchemist/Harry Potter Crossover
Title: Mr. Elric
Author: maboroshi-hime
Genre: General
Rating: G
Spoilers: FMA episode 51; HP book 5
Summary: Edward Elric from various points of view.

He began babbling about how the pain 'wasn't as bad as the first time around' and that 'Winry did a great job the first time around, but when I crossed the gate, the entire arm got lost and we had to redo it' and nonsense. He spoke of a little brother and growled out something about a horse (mustang, was it?). Eventually, his speech lost all coherency and the remaining work was done in silence.

Very short chapters, wonderfully written and as canon as a crossover can be IMHO. (I can see the Harry Potter characters seeing Edward in the various ways they do.)
And yes, the horse = Roy thing just got me ;)
